God's Provision during Heidi's Mom's passing...

Ways that God has provided through this last difficult season:

-      Aly’s surgery costing thousands less than anticipated…insurance covering more than we thought it would.
-      Being able to sell our old hot tub cover through Facebook Marketplace for $200
-      Doctor’s office sending us back money for Aly’s surgery because it turned out we overpaid.
-      Receiving a $500 check in the mail from a wonderful family in our church.
-      The gifts of money and gift cards given to us at church and sent in the mail totaling well over $1000
-      A person paying for Heidi to travel to see her Mom a couple times along with the expenses. (totaling close to $1,300)
-      That same person paying for Angela’s flight (Heidi’s sister) and all expenses with the loss of work. (totaling nearly $700)
-      Receiving a gift of $8,500 to pay for our families’ round-trip plane tickets to Philly and then the plan tickets for Heidi and I to Des Moines… (all expenses covered).
-      Receiving a check for $250 in Cherry Hill, NJ unexpectedly.
-      A group of people cleaned our house and bought us groceries while we were gone…what a blessing coming home to a clean and cared for house.
-      Several people sent beautiful flowers both inside and outside our house to bring beauty and life to our home.
-      Two different landscape companies that mowed the lawn in that time at no cost.
-      Refinancing our house at a 20-year loan for a low rate delaying house payments for a couple months translating into saving a couple thousand dollars.
-      Coming to my office one day and seeing an envelope with $200 enclosed inside with a note that simply said, “We love you.”
-      Having several families stopping by night after night for weeks bringing meals and groceries.
-      Having a brother who owns a power-wash company come and clean our whole house, gutters, back deck, and cement driveway and sidewalks for a fraction of the cost.
-      Getting a card from our church family with a gift of $300 to buy a tree in memory of my mother-in-law.
-      Having the expenses covered for Heidi to go back out to see her dad to be with him for several days and to help him decorate the house for our upcoming Cortner Christmas. (Her mom loved to deck out the house with Christmas décor)
-      Receiving a gift basket from our LAT for Pastor’s Appreciation Month with a year membership to Fredrick Meijer Gardens, 10 tickets to attend various plays/musicals downtown this next year with our family, and a $100 gift card to go to the movies as a family.

God has been so good. I just wanted to testify to his providence.
