The Name-Changing before being Game-Changing...

I was thinking about being a Game-Changer today.  But it occurred to me that there is something that must occur within a person before they can become one of these so-called Game-Changers.  So many are defined by a name they’ve been given--or given themselves--over the years. They’ve been branded with an identity, and until they break through this confining identity that is defining their life, they will struggle to experience the breakthrough necessary to become a Game-Changer. 

Here’s what I’m getting at…I’ve noticed a Game-Changer if almost always a great Name-Changer.  They reverse the curse of how they’ve been branded, and in time, they begin to help others do the same by renaming them as well. They see the a person’s name effects how they play the game.  So they become a Name-Changer…

“You are not Stupid…you’re Gifted.”

“You are not Useless…you’re Needed.” 

“You are not Ridiculous…you’re a Dreamer.”

“You are not Restless…you’re an Explorer.”

“You are not Alone…you Belong.”

“You are not Ugly…you’re Attractive.”

“You are not an Introvert, you’re Discerning.”

“You are not Bad Boy or Girl…you’re a Good Heart.”

“You are not Abandoned…you’re Wanted.”

“You are not a Failure…you’re Courageous.”

“You are not a Hot Mess…you’re a Hot Commodity.” 

“You are not an Accident…you’re Chosen.”

“You are not Rejected…you’re Loved.”

“You are not Shy…you’re Thoughtful.”

“You are not an Afterthought…you’re Important.”

“You are not a Follower…you’re a Leader.”

“You are not a Disgrace…you’re a Second Chance Story.”

“You are not a Lost-Cause…you’re a Work-in-Process.”

“You are not a Loser…you are Lifelong Learner.”

“You are not Trash…you’re a Treasure.”

“You are not a Dumpster Fire…you’re a Wild Fire.”

“You are not Disposable…you’re Indispensable.”

“You are not Damaged Goods…you’re Battle Tested.”

“You are not Worthless…you are Worth It.”

If we don’t train up Name-Changers, we can’t expect to raise up Game-Changers.
