"Aha" Moments that are creeds of my faith...

‘Aha’ Moments of my Journey of Faith

1.    I have believed in my heart that ‘Jesus is Lord’ and called upon His name for salvation.  I am forever saved.

Romans 10:9,13 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

2.    I have been given God’s righteousness in exchange for my sin.  When God looks at me he doesn’t see me or my sin. I am covered by His Son.

I Corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

3.    I have been adopted as God’s child.  I am no longer seen by God as a sinner.  I am now a saint.

I Corinthians 1:2 - To the church of God and those sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, grace and peace to you.

4.    I have God the Holy Spirit living inside me never to leave or forsake me.  I am eternally secure.

Ephesians 1:13-14 - When you believed, you were marked in [Christ] with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

5.    I have the pleasure of obeying God’s commands and I do so with a grateful heart knowing each one is for my good. I am His servant.

I John 5:3 - This is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome. 

6.    I have confidence that when I sin, that God is faithful to forgive my sins and restore my joy. I am sanctified.

I John 1:8-9 - If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

I lean into these Aha Moments of Faith…they anchor me.  They are my center and my strength.
